MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH: Restoring Dignity After 20 Years: Meet Rose
After barely surviving 12 hours of childbirth, Rose Nelima was told her newborn baby had died. Sadly, worse news was yet to come. During labour Rose had developed a fistula – a devastating birth injury in which women lose control of their bladders and bowels. For 20 years Rose lived in shame. FIELD DIARY:

WATER AND SANITATION: New Photos - World Water Day 2010 On May 22, AMREF Canada celebrated World Water Day with our new partner EcoWater Canada.
A special lunch was held at the EcoWater Canada offices in Mississauga, where presentations were made to highlight the importance of conserving and protecting clean water sources in Canada and Africa.
