AMREF SUCCESS:

AMREF's E-Nurses Shine Again
AMREF is proud to announce 100% of its 2009 class of E-Nursing students have successfully graduated from the program!

AMREF’s Director of Capacity Building Dr. Peter Ngatia personally congratulated the nurses adding, “This program is proving technology and innovative learning are key ways of addressing Africa’s human resource challenges.”

In 2001, the Nursing Council of Kenya approached AMREF to develop a system to upgrade the skills of 22,000 nurses. AMREF decided E-Learning was the answer.

Watch the Flying Doctors in Action

The AMREF Flying Doctor Service is the largest and best-known air ambulance service in Africa.

Every year the Flying Doctors provide charity emergency evacuations for  sick patients who otherwise can’t access life saving health care.

The Flying Doctors also provide vital clinical outreach services to people in  remote communities who otherwise can't access specialized health care  professionals.

Now you can see the Flying Doctors in action! Watch our new video here.
