Saving Lives: Mutindi's Story

Nine-year-old Mutindi lost both her parents when she was only a baby and was diagnosed with HIV when she was two-years-old. Her grandfather, Mr. Kunga, has cared for her ever since but was forced to sell the last animal on his farm to buy Mutindi's medication. Mr. Kunga didn’t know how they would survive without money or livestock.

But thankfully AMREF started a support group in their village. Nurses now visit and teach proper home based care and Mutindi gets her medication. Grandpa Kunga has also been given a small loan to purchase two chickens. Read Mutindi's story here.

But many families aren’t as fortunate - and you can help. Donate to AMREF today to save lives like Mutindi's.
