Our Ambassadors help us improve health in Africa by encouraging donors, governments, corporate partners, and the public to make African health a priority.

Amref Health Africa Ambassador: Canadian Soprano Measha Brueggergosman

Awarding-winning Canadian Soprano Measha Brueggergosman first joined Amref Health Africa as our Ambassador in 2007, when she travelled to northern Uganda to see our work first-hand. Measha returned to visit Amref Health Africa projects the following year. Soon after, she hosted a fundraising concert for Amref Health Africa.

After a break to start a family, Measha is now back in the Amref Health Africa fold, eager to help raise awareness of and funds for our work with African communities.

In June 2007 Canadian Opera singer Measha Brueggergosman, Amref Health Africa's Goodwill Ambassador, traveled to East Africa to visit Amref Health Africa's work. Deep in the war-affected village of Patongo, northern Uganda, Measha found herself surrounded by school children performing the traditional Acholi Bwola dance.
