Integrating Nutrition for Better Health

Amref Health Africa is joining forces with Nutrition International

Adequate nutrition is an essential building block for long-term improvements to health. Yet, in many countries in sub-Saharan Africa, women and girls lack the basic daily nutrients needed to live healthy lives and to reach their full potential.

We are joining forces with Canada-based Nutrition International to improve how Amref Health Africa integrates nutrition into our health-focused projects.

Through the two-year partnership, Nutrition International is providing Amref Health Africa with a nutrition expert who will work out of our head office in Nairobi, Kenya to assess our current activities focused on nutrition and create a long-term strategy for integrating nutrition into our programs. The goal of the partnership is to improve the health of women, teenage and young girls in vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
